Q: What is solid silicone rubber?
A: Solid silicone rubber is a polymer material connected by silicon-oxygen bonds. It has rubber-like elasticity but is solid at room temperature.
Q: What are the characteristics of solid silicone rubber?
A: This kind of silicone rubber usually has excellent high temperature resistance, chemical stability and electrical insulation properties. It has both good mechanical strength and wear resistance.
Q: What are the application fields of solid silicone rubber?
A: Solid silicone rubber is widely used in aerospace, automobile manufacturing, electronic devices, medical equipment and other fields that require high temperature resistance, electrical insulation or chemical corrosion resistance.
Q: What is the difference between solid silicone rubber and liquid silicone rubber?
A: Compared to liquid silicone rubber, solid silicone rubber is solid at room temperature, not liquid or semi-liquid. It has higher density and lower permeability.
Q: What is the preparation method of solid silicone rubber?
A: The preparation of solid silicone rubber usually involves the reaction of raw materials such as silicon source, vulcanizing agent and processing aids. After a curing or vulcanization process, silicone rubber with specific properties is formed.
Q: What should I pay attention to when using solid silicone rubber?
A: When using solid silicone rubber, the curing process, temperature and environmental conditions should be controlled according to the specific application requirements and manufacturer's guidelines to ensure optimal performance.
