IOTA 2520 is a carboxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane, designed to impart long-lasting waterproof properties to chrome-tanned leather, while also endowing it with certain silicone characteristics.

Applications
Long-lasting waterproofing of chrome-tanned leather 
Hydrophobicity on polar surfaces
Enhancing compatibility with organic polymers during pigment or filler treatment
Chain extender for polymers (e.g., introducing in polycondensation reactions of polyesters, polyamides) to impart silicone properties

Hydrophilic soft finishing of fabrics
