Description:
Polymethylsilane, referred to as PMS, is a new generation silicon carbide ceramic precursor and is a yellow translucent liquid at room temperature. High temperature cracking generates βsilicon carbide. Mainly used in the preparation of various types of complex phase ceramic precursors, silicon carbide ceramic materials, Cf/SiC composite materials, SiCf/SiC composite materials and silicon carbide ceramic coatings. Its products have the characteristics of high temperature resistance, ablation resistance, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance and low density.

Precautions For Use The product is very reactive. It is easily oxidized in the air and emits a lot of heat. It can cause spontaneous combustion when it comes into contact with combustible materials such as cotton, paper scraps, plastics, non-woven fabrics, and nylon. After combustible materials come into contact with this product, they must be immediately placed in a sealed container protected by nitrogen. Store, or cover with fire sand or fire blanket and isolate from surrounding combustible materials, and finally incinerate. This product is moderately active and can oxidize when exposed to the air, releasing a certain amount of heat and causing the burning of combustibles; combustibles that come into contact with this product should be stored in isolation from oxygen and handled uniformly. This product has low activity and can slowly oxidize when exposed to air. After long-term exposure to air, an oxidation protective film will form on the surface; combustible materials that come into contact with this product should be stored in isolation from oxygen.
